Rachael Bradshaw
Advisory Committee
My name is Rachael Bradshaw and I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome on March 14th, 2017. I was diagnosed rather quickly and was fortunate enough to have an early intervention. It was just last summer when I was able to start walking without my AFO’s (ankle-foot orthosis), which was very exciting. Today, I am happy to be walking all on my own and am a cheerleader on my school’s team. It’s taken all of the last three years to get to where I am and it’s been worth all the hard work. I hope to get back to playing volleyball someday.
