University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) team joins the Birmingham Walk & Roll event

The GBS|CIDP Foundation International team was honored to have the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) team join us for the Birmingham Walk & Roll event. Thanks to Foundation staff member, Lori, for her pivotal role in connecting with Eroboghene Ubogu M.D. at UAB. We were able to initiate a conversation that blossomed into a meaningful partnership. After a productive initial discussion regarding sponsorship opportunities,  it wasn’t long before UAB officially came on board as a sponsor.

Having UAB at the event was truly a highlight. Their expertise and resources, drawn from their renowned Center of Excellence, resonated deeply with the community. Throughout the day, attendees eagerly lined up to engage with the UAB team, showing how much their presence meant to everyone. Their involvement enhanced the event in so many ways, offering both valuable insights and a tangible sense of support to those affected by GBS, CIDP, MMN and variants.

We are deeply grateful for UAB’s partnership and the incredible support they provided. This collaboration was a perfect match, and it was a privilege to showcase such a wonderful resource right here in Birmingham. The impact of their participation will be felt long after the event!
